Marcos, assisted by the Superintendent, PMA, General Angel Kanapi A snappy salute, then on to join the Army! President Marcos would go on to be driven out of office and into exile in Hawaii by a popular revolution known all over the world as the People's Power, ending 20 years of dictatorship. The Mission of the Philippine Military Academy: "To instruct, train, and develop the cadets so that they shall possess the character, the broad and basic military skills, and the education essential to the pursuit of a progressive military career."
